FAQ’S

What documents will I need to provide to become a member?

AMET is a membership service for registered health care practitioners only. Upon registering,  you will be asked to confirm your registeration status with no current or future restrictions placed on my ability to practice within medical aesthetics. Once confirmed you will gaining access to the online platform.

How long does it take for my membership to be verified?

You will gain access to the online safety portal immediately, gaining access to AMET advisory approved Adverse Event protocols and much more is available 24/7. The Triage phone and email support operates 8am-8pm Monday – Friday and 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday AEST.

Can I still call if I am not a member?

AMET encourages anyone experiencing an adverse event to contact us immediately for support. Patient outcomes are our first priority. However, for legal and ethical reasons AMET cannot provide complication advice to anyone who is not a member and whose registration has not been verified via AHPRA.

Non-members will be required to pay the annual subscription fee, an adverse event excess of $1000 if the health care practitioner needs immediate field expert intervention within the first 4 days of initial membership sign up and any specialist intervention fees incurred.

Optimal patient safety requires practitioners joining AMET before (not when) experiencing a complication. This yearly membership enrollment includes all the above listed member benefits for the following 12 months. AMET strives to ensure we are available and affordable to all aesthetic practitioners for patient safety outcomes.

Are there any additional costs?

The only additional cost is related to facilitation of medical intervention. Currently these experts treat many complication patients out of good will and more than often injectors do not compensate them for their assistance and medical management – often resulting in an extensive financial loss from both lost hours and medical intervention costs.

For this reason, AMET will promptly pay the expert a conservative fee of $250 for the first hour, followed by $100 for any additional hour of medical management thereafter. This fee is a fair and reasonable cost for accepting the responsibility of managing a patient experiencing a complication.

AMET will then invoice the member directly for these costs incurred by the expert (similar to an excess)

AMET does not profit from this facilitation and our team will be very transparent with members to ensure there is an understanding of these costs prior to medical intervention.
